Honey Turkey Lettuce Cups

Serves 6


  • 1/4 cup Red Gum Honey
  • 2tbsp soy sauce
  • 1tbsp rice vinegar 
  • 1/2tbsp sesame oil
  • 2tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small brown onion (diced)
  • 2 gloves garlic (diced)
  • 700g ground turkey 
  • 1/2 cup grated carrot
  • 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup bean sprouts
  • Leaf leaves for serving 
  • 1/3 peanuts (optional)



  1. Add honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil and whisk.
  2. In a large pan, over medium-high heat, add olive oil and onions. Once onions are translucent add garlic.
  3. Add in the ground turkey, shredded carrots and cook for about 7 minutes. 
  4. Pour the honey and soy sauce mixture over the ground turkey and combine. Place the lid on the pan and simmer for 3 minutes.
  5. Top with bean sprouts, cabbage and peanuts and cover for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  6. Scoop turkey mixture into lettuce cups and enjoy!
