Halloween Honey Chocolate Cupcakes

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Banksia Honey
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 3/4 cups plain flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs 
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • Orange buttercream
  • Black sprinkles

    Method:

    1. Preheat oven to 175°C and line a cupcake tin with liners.
    2. Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. Add ground lavender into flour mix.
    3. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add one egg at a time, then add milk, vanilla and honey.
    4. Then add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined. Pour the mixture into the cupcake liners.
    5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until tops are golden brown. 
    6. Once cooled, pipe your orange buttercream on the cupcakes and top with black sprinkles. Enjoy!
